NettetA couple days ago I right clicked something and saw the element blocker, a feature I'd never tried, so I decided to pop over to Yahoo, and start using it to block the various layers of the media player. You'll still want a basic ad blocker in place for that, and to clean up the ad placeholders in the DOM. My comment was probably oversimplified, especially if the OP's title is taken literally. Ad blockers with still work, they just won't be able to prevent the request/response with the ad server.
