The inland wetlands are 24,089 with an area of 7,61,867 while the coastal wetlands are 595 with an estimated area of 1,22,373 hectares. WebbGoa State Wetland Authority (GSWA) is a body of Government of Goa constituted as per Wetland (Conservation and Management) Rules 2024 and as per the provision made in Part II – Sec. 3 (i) Rule 5 (1) of “The Gazette of India : Extraordinary”.
